Fresh snapper

From many countries, often Senegal.  350g to 1kg.  Like the black bream from English waters,

with a red skin. 

We can fillet fresh snappers for you - just ask

one of our fishmongers when you phone.

  Frozen snappers                                                 

About 220g each, frozen, from Morocco.  Quite boney,  but one of our best

sellers.  Individual sizes, we can clean and prepare them.

 

Snapper fillets                                            

Frozen at sea, boneless, scaleless, full of flavour, half the price of fresh,

superb, 500g each fillet.  No waste, each fillet should yield two portions.  Exotic.

Conger eel

Unlike most fish, conger eel needs a lot of cooking - bake, steam or boil for

50 minutes, but we’ve heard of a different way of preparing it:  deep fry in a very

light batter for just a few minutes until the batter is golden, then freeze. 

When required, just microwave for 8-10 minutes.  Creamy texture and lovely flavour.

Bones large and easily removed

 

Grouper                                          

Exceptionally tasty, a little like halibut, from 450g to 1.5kg.   From  St Helena.  We

can fillet them for you.

Headless redfish                                              

We recommend frozen-at-sea redfish. Superb to eat, not boney, but we can

fillet and skin for you.  White fleshed.            

 

Gurnards 

In many colours, the most popular being red.  Although a slightly bony fish, an excellent flavour.                                We can fillet gurnards for you, just ask when you phone
